fits game guy help maybe player plays polished receiver somebody special teams
If we could find somebody that fits a role, maybe a guy that's a special teams player but also can play receiver, or somebody that's more polished as a receiver who can help us in the game plan, that'd be fine. Or it could be someone who plays a different position.
lost playing reason
I think that D-line is playing their tails off. They're not the reason we've lost games.
deep good
He's a good deep snapper and he's been a good deep snapper.
mike release stuff
I wasn't comfortable, first of all, in having to release Mike Sherman. I don't like to do stuff like that. I'm not comfortable. That's not my nature. I don't think it's anybody's nature.
general judge understand
This is a big-boy league. I understand repercussions and the way you judge a general manager.
becomes beyond core good guys length sure
I have some ideas. Cullen Jenkins is a good player. If he becomes one of our core guys you'd like to make sure you can have him beyond the length of his contract.
couple last talk talked week
I couldn't tell you exactly. I talk to him every week or 10 days, something like that. I haven't talked to him the last couple days.
gets healthy running sure team
He's a big part of our team and we're heartbroken that he's not going to be able to play, ... But we want to make sure he gets back healthy and running like he always has.
diminished passion plays runs
He still runs around, still plays with passion. I don't see anything diminished there.
early far historical pleased rate reasonably terms
I'm reasonably pleased with all the individuals. There's not many that have been disappointments. I think it's far too early to try to rate it in terms of historical value.
agency defensive everybody free hard hope outside page players sign wishing work
Obviously, you're always wishing you could go out and sign a Reggie White, but those players don't make it to free agency anymore, ... So you kind of do what you can and outside of that you work hard and get everybody on the same page with the defensive coordinator. And hope it all works.
passion
I think he can still play, and I think he still has the passion to play.
available best either picking player retires scenario
Sure. In either scenario (if Favre retires or if he doesn't). I think you have to take the best player available when you're picking that high.
along answer communication decision everybody help high obviously profile quality quite understand whatever
I think, quite frankly, everybody would like to know what the answer is and I think Brett would especially like to know. It's just not there yet. We understand that. It's obviously a very high profile decision because of the quality of the player. We want him to play. But it's up to Brett and (his wife) Deanna to decide, to make that decision. Any communication we've had is just to try to do whatever we can to help him along in that decision- making process.
