Her and I have a great relationship. She is like the daughter I never had. She is a football player that happens to be a girl. I have great respect for her and so do her teammates.

Where I come from, I've been taught that hard work is rewarding. Maybe not when you want or the way you want at the time, but hard work is rewarding. I believe they'll be rewarded somehow, some day, and I want them to believe that because it's a value you can embrace.

When the scandal occurred at Colorado with the lady kicker they had, I told my team then and I told them again this year that she (Westover) is never to be talked to inappropriately or touched inappropriately and if she is, I encourage her to press charges and the player will be suspended. I said that and I was stern and sincere. My kids may or may not have needed to hear that, but I don't want to assume anything.
