captains difference guys might putting
It might just be the difference in length, ... That sometimes can be something that deters captains from putting guys together.

No. 7 is one of the narrowest holes on the course, if not the narrowest.
bunker hit left looked nice position putt shots
I hit two really nice shots and then just chickened out on a bunker shot and left it way short. I wasn't in position to make birdie, and he was. And I made the putt and he didn't. All of a sudden, it looked from potentially going back to 2 up for him ... now we're all square.
depends greens high land low spots top wind
The wind is blowing, swirling in the trees. On top of that, the greens are really inconsistent out there because the low spots are soft, the high spots are really firm. It depends on where you land it.

It's nice to putt on greens that are smooth again.

That was a nice little shot because I had to hit it a little easy, a little soft. Actually, it was a perfect 2-iron yardage. But I needed the height there. Either that or it was in the water.
depending driver great hit hitting playing totally
I thought (old) 7 was a great risk-reward hole. You could hit driver. You could hit fairway wood, or even iron, off the tee, depending on what you feel you could do. Now you're hitting driver where usually we're hitting 3-woods or 2-irons. It's playing totally different now.
areas ball close good hit pins positions pull putt shaped
A lot of the pins are in areas where if you pull up, you can hit the ball close with good shaped shots. Unfortunately I didn't hit the ball very good, so I wasn't in those positions and I didn't putt well, anyway.
couple golf happy hit loose played quality shots solid
I played solid today, ... I hit good, quality golf shots all day and I hit a couple loose ones, but more than anything, I was happy with the way I putted today.
course greens obviously soft
Obviously (I must) get off to a better start. The course is soft and the greens are receptive. You still have to get it done.
bunch chris goods guys played saying time wrong
Chris has been there in a bunch of tournaments. And, unfortunately, guys have come up with the goods at the wrong time for him. That's not saying Chris has played poorly. It's just that he's been there enough times when guys have played better. That's just the way it goes.
