chances couple help hits
They had some big hits and, of course, I had a couple of chances to help us out and didn't do it. It's frustrating.
ability chance everybody game hard nobody plays teams
I think we've got a chance to be a lot better this year. If everybody just plays to their ability. Nobody really has to go off, nobody has to do anything crazy. There are going to be teams better than us, talent-wise, but we are going to play the game hard and we never give up.
attitude develop good start win
We need to get off to a good start and develop an attitude that we are going to win so we don't have that 'here-we-go-again' attitude.
earlier home
You can get back in there, get to hitting, get to go home earlier and all that stuff,
happens
When it happens to you, it's not that scary. I was all drugged up, so I didn't really know what was going on.
goal people trying
I want people to expect more from me because I expect more. If you don't set goals high, you're not trying.
hate winning done
I hate the ballplayer who says, 'I did everything I could have possibly done.' Because if you didn't win it all, you obviously didn't do everything you could have done.
too-much negative looks
I'm very tough on myself. I definitely look at the negative too much.
winning games uniforms
The reason we are at the ballpark is to win that day's game, and we don't need to be concerned with anything else during the time we are in uniform. It makes things a lot simpler, a lot easier.
running home practice
I rarely hit home runs in batting practice, and usually when I do feel that good, I'll have a bad game.
used steroid
I have never used steroids. Never.
heard leaves perspective puts
When we heard about (Barmes), we were thinking, 'That's terrible, what are we going to do,' ... Then the skipper leaves and his daughter's having seizures, and it puts it all back in perspective really quick.
time
There are no more excuses. It's time to put it on the line. It's time to win.
hit knew
When I hit it I knew it was gone. I got all of it and it was a big hit at the time.
