We're just in a funk and we can't seem to find a way out of it. The last inning, we bust out of it and hopefully that will carry over.

Yesterday I did. I want my name to be in the paper because I hit two homers and I went 4-for-4, not because of any other reason. I understand that this whole second base thing is a controversy. That's fine. I want you to understand that if I'm on the bench and somebody else is playing, I'm going to be pulling for him. I'm not going to be talking bad about anybody. I love my teammates, I love this team.

It'd be nice to get back to .500 and see where we are at, ... If we could reel off six or seven wins in a row, conceivably we'd have a chance.

If I were to get traded tomorrow, I think the team is responsible for my rent in Chicago for six months. That's why I tried to get the rent as high as possible, so if that happened they would have to think twice about it.

With Wood and Prior in there, we'd be pretty tough. But we've got some young guys who really throw the ball well.

When it comes down to who's playing second, it's going to be their own opinion. I can't put words in anybody's mouth. It's whatever they want. I just have to make it tough on them, to do the best I can this month.

When I came over here, I knew Dusty plays everybody. You need that. With a long season, you need guys healthy and rested. The more guys you have, the better you'll be.
