I was really pleased with how our team came out extremely focused and with great energy. Our seniors did a great job of getting us ready, and we jumped out of the gates quickly.

He threw the ball down really good in the sixth and seventh innings. Those were his best innings. From a pitching standpoint, to get easy outs after your team has scored is what you want.

In his last inning out when he was really in the high numbers, we couldn't afford to go to the bullpen that early. It was critical for him to give us that inning.

He began to flash that kind of power last year. He's become one of the premier power hitters in the league and he's a threat to get you four bases at any time.
four games giving great guy hard honor hours incredible paying spent worker works
That's an incredible week, a great four games for him. He has always been a hard worker in our program. Giving a guy that works that hard an honor like this makes him feel that all the hours he has spent are paying off.

As we go forward, we'll play better. We played like a lot of people play the first time out.

I thought, when (Tyler) hit that ball over the fence, it really loosened our team up. I thought we were wanting to win too bad. We couldn't quite free it up when we needed it and I thought when he hit that ball, we freed it up. It started to come to us after that.

We're proud of the steps they've taken. They've worked very hard to get to this point.

He is a strike-thrower. In (the CPL), if you throw enough strikes and let the wooden bat take care of itself, you will be OK. He keeps the ball down and is a very good fielder.

Fortunately, (Saturday) we didn't have to use too many pitchers and we didn't have to use Brock so he was ready to go. He's been doing the job for us.

He gave us a chance to win. He threw enough quality pitches and held their offense down enough to give us a chance to get back in it but unfortunately, it wasn't a big offensive day for us and we couldn't get going.
