american-musician home learned normal
Because of time, we've learned that there are some things that you really have to maintain, like a normal home life; and that's a plus.
american-musician bunch focused sat stuff toward written
I have a bunch of stuff written that we haven't used, but I haven't sat down and really focused on what to put toward the album.
album blow element elements everybody expects faster heavy maybe slayer song surprise thinking trip
This album is actually like a culmination of everything we've done. There's one song that I'm thinking will surprise everybody, because of the song itself. I'm not going to say why, because you have to keep that element of surprise, dude. Musically, it's going to blow everybody away. It's going to trip everyone out. It has all the elements of everything we've done. No one's going to be disappointed with this record. It's fast, heavy maybe faster than anything we've done before. It's going to be brutal. It's what everyone expects from a Slayer record.
country song heavy
From the heaviest of the heavy to classical to country, that's what I listen to, I listen to a variety and I enjoy good music, good songs.
ideas band venom
Venom was a band that strongly influenced the image and the idea behind Slayer

Fortune is either with you or it's not.
writing focus be-good
No, I have to really focus, especially when I'm writing because I wanna be good at it
couple half firsts
We did like 12 shows, then we did the entire Ozzfest with the first half completely booked; then we did the second half with a couple days off here and there
san-francisco people surfing
Our album 'Show No Mercy' came out in late '83, and we did three or four shows in San Francisco after the release. That was our first experience with stage-divers, crowd-surfing, people walking on people across an entire crowd.
writing yeah
I just don't write musically, but lyrically, yeah I write.
mind trying interviews
When I do interviews, I enter them with an open mind and try to answer the questions the best I can.
