discomfort distance felt few good greater passes threw yesterday
He threw for greater distance and felt good about that. He also threw a few more passes than yesterday and didn't have any discomfort at all, which is a good sign.
athlete athletics easy everybody game guy incredible jerry message player point rice serious stick strong trying whose
He's an incredible athlete and a guy whose conditioning really has been a measuring stick for everybody in this league. It is so easy for us to point to Jerry Rice when we are trying to make a strong message with a player who we may not feel is as serious about his game as he should be.
learn sure win
I'm sure it's everything, ... I'm sure it's a combination of things, but you have to learn how to win on the road.
I don't think we did anything noteworthy defensively,
game mike playing ready time
He's OK, he's just not ready to do all the twisting and turning. We'll see how he is tomorrow. We've started cautiously with Mike because of the injury. This game his playing time would have been extended, but that's probably not going to be the case.
exercises motion optimistic soft throwing
He's now into strengthening exercises and he's doing some soft tossing, going through the motion of throwing the ball. They're very optimistic that he's on schedule.
ball created distance driving felt greater momentum needed noise rewarded road stadium team volume
However, on the road in that stadium under those circumstances, I felt our team needed to be rewarded for driving the ball that distance to take some of the momentum out of the crowd. If we would have not scored, then I think we would have even created a greater volume of noise in that stadium.
against either few fortunate people players playing process teams
It's a process that is part of our game. The only fortunate thing about it is that there are so many teams and so few players that sometimes you end up either having those people back or playing against them.
beloved players proud record team
I told the players that they should be proud of being the team on record that accomplished this for our beloved owners.
best
The best thing I can say about that is that we got some three-and-outs when we had to.
football gave great passing smith steve stop team
Steve Smith had a great year, no question. Even more so when you think that every team has it on their checklist to do something about Steve Smith. The other day we gave up a lot of passing yardage to some outstanding receivers. But our No. 1 thing will still be to stop the run. That's where we start.
Take nothing away from Dallas, but we had opportunities and didn't take them,
defending difficulty threw trouble
They just threw the ball, and we had difficulty with their receivers. We had trouble defending it without a doubt.
overtime performance
It was a frustrating day, without a doubt. In overtime we were never able to get the ball. It was just a very disappointing performance on our part.
