building close experience hard help learn mental players teams
Our players are building mental toughness. It's really hard with a young team. It's very hard to close teams out in a close game. The more that you get experience at it and the more you learn from the experience is when you don't do it is where it can really help you.
basketball college game great respect teams
This was a great college basketball game with two teams who have a lot of respect for each other.
average courage free good point separates takes teams
You have to incorporate these things into practice. It takes a lot of courage to make free throws, and that?s often what separates really good teams from average teams. You have to make it a point of emphasis.
against good maybe teams
Maybe 10, but I'm biased. When you go against Seton Hall, you see Cincinnati. When you see these teams on a day-in, day-out basis, you see how good they are.
against alaska blue face gold looked open potential question teams
I like our schedule. There's 17 teams that went to the post-season, and when we looked at it there's a potential 21 that we could face with the teams in Alaska and the Blue and Gold Classic. Then we open against Connecticut and Cincinnati. I'm jacked up, there's no question about it.
best conference depth good hold league nearly players putting teams
The best teams in this league have depth. The best teams are not putting players out there to hold their own. They're putting players out there who make their teams better. We had a lot of good players in Conference USA, but there wasn't nearly the depth in that league that there is in the Big East.
bench depth teams
It's the depth of the league. Teams can go to their bench and there's no drop-off. It's really impressive.
honest learned team
I thought our team learned something over the (Rutgers loss). They have learned to be honest when they don't play up to their standards.
attacked energy fierce played second
I think the way he attacked and the way he went to the rim, especially in the second half, he played with just a fierce energy which was really good.
five guards last six year
Last year after Travis went down, we didn't have any options. You never want to be in that position, especially as we go into the Big East. In this league, you've got to have five or six guards that can play. We're not there yet, but we're getting closer.
gotten guy taking
We couldn't have gotten a better look and we couldn't have had a better guy taking the shot.
crowd fans home huge seen
Our fans have been fantastic. Our home crowd is huge to us and we haven't seen it in a while.
absolute defense defensive intensity last lost minutes played playing second solid week
Playing 40 minutes of defense was the absolute key. We thought last week that we played about 20 minutes of solid defense, and we lost our defensive intensity in the second half.
fun grown learned poke respect trust
I think he can poke fun at them and they can poke fun at him. I don't know if it was always like that but he's grown into it; he's learned to trust and respect and they've learned to trust and respect him.
