last months practices seven six
I feel for that kid. He's only been in six or seven practices in the last two months so we can't even do what we want to do with him yet.
areas good key last rotation shooting similar winning
Now that we've got our lineup straightened out the last month, our rotation may be similar to some of our real good teams, ... We're not as good defensively, we're not as good a rebounding team, but we're a much better shooting team. It's different, but it's got some similarities in areas that are key to winning championships.
cost crying sitting totally
I'm sitting here crying about the officiating, that's not what totally cost us the game.
blow good lost
I don't think it's a concussion, but I do think it was a pretty good blow and he lost some blood.
everybody games good iowa league lost moments
They've had moments when they've been real good and not as good, and so have we. They still have some vulnerability just like everybody in this league does. It was just two games ago that Iowa lost to Northwestern.
create deal guys handling hopefully inside issues kids next outside preach pressure time year
I always preach to my kids that outside issues create inside problems. Pressure that you get at this time of year - you're a senior, you've got to play well to hopefully play at the next level. You just have to deal with it. I look at those guys right now, and they're not handling it as well as they did earlier.
enjoyed hard hit might watching
As hard as they played, I kind of enjoyed watching them. I don't know if they'll ever hit that many 3s again. But I know we're going to play better defense. And we might have three-a-days tomorrow.
begin brought coming covered felt games guard guards guy guys loss maybe people physical team versatile
It's a big loss for us, especially in the games we had coming up, because we felt he was a guy who could have covered a lot of people on the perimeter or inside. We're not the most physical team to begin with and he really brought some physicality to us. But maybe more importantly, I think he's a versatile guy who can guard guards on the perimeter, and he can guard big guys inside. We just don't have many guys who are able to do that.
athletes best build shape team top
These are two of the top athletes in the country, and they are in the best shape of their lives. It's a lot to build a team around.
along consistent faster hands honest hoping maybe moving pressure puts saying ten work
I was hoping to have him back Saturday, and it didn't work out. It's kind of out of my hands and kind of out of his hands, to be honest with you. That puts pressure on the doctors. For the most part, they've been consistent saying that maybe he could do something Big Ten tournament-time. We were hoping, because everything was moving along a little faster, that it would be faster than that.
hard
I still think we have a lot to play for, so it better not be hard (to get up).
brought early kicked took
The disappointing thing is they took it at us early and kicked our butts inside. I'm disappointed, saddened. On this night, they brought it and we didn't.
biggest capable career coach few games good head lack last ncaa perform performance played season
I think it was the biggest disappointment of all the NCAA games we played in. We didn't have the season we wanted to have. We didn't perform to what I think our capabilities were. I think this is one of the few times in my career here as a head coach that we didn't get done what I think we were capable of getting done, culminating with the lack of a very good performance on that last night.
football players tougher
I thought football players were tougher than that.
