I think we had a big edge. It felt like we controlled the games for the most part right from the get-go.

I think there was an overall lack of intensity on our part. I don't think there was a whole lot of intensity from either side, really. We need to play our own game. It seemed like it was going to be a defensive battle and we were just willing to commit to that instead of going after them like we usually do.

We didn't take the game for granted, but I don't think our effort was like it's been.

We've been traveling now for eight days. That makes it all the more important to bury those chances in the second period when we have them.
although confident content continued goals knew score tone
We were down 1-0 but I think we were still pretty happy, although not content with the effort. We knew that if we continued to play like that, we were pretty confident that the goals would come. In the end we were rewarded. Even though we didn't score any goals, we set the tone in the first period.
helping whatever
We're going to have to find it somewhere. No one else is helping us now. We're the only ones who can help ourselves. So whatever it takes, we're just going to need to do it for those two points.
