fortunate guys hard helped miss practice trained worked
Our guys worked hard in the off-season program. They trained well, and we were fortunate to have guys who didn't miss practice and games. That helped our continuity.
gives guys keeps work
Our guys were very disappointed, ... They wanted to keep them out of the end zone, but that gives them something to work on so that probably keeps me smiling.
coach deserve guys happen helped players seven system work
Those guys deserve everything they get. They have been in the same system for more than seven years now and that part has really helped them. But they work at it and they're very professional all the way around. You couldn't coach two players that you could want this to happen more. They deserve every accolade because they're professionals on and off the field.
ahead including played saying schedule teams winning work
We've played Jacksonville and St. Louis, who have some wins, but for the most part, we haven't played teams with winning records, ... I look at the schedule ahead and everyone, including me, is saying we've got a lot of work ahead of us.
against beat coming cut deal everybody game hopefully houston landmark playing point practice recognize second short team tough week win work
You don't win championships in September, obviously. You don't win them in Week 8. You don't win them with one game. This is going to be a tough deal for us to come back. Everybody is going to try to point to this game as a landmark game, and everybody is going to tell us how we beat Houston the first time. Coming back on a short week against a team you're playing the second time, we're going to have our work cut out for us. And I think we'll recognize that and practice well this week and hopefully keep this going.
hardest wants worker
Peyton is the hardest worker I've ever been around in my years of coaching. He never wants to make a mistake.
arm certain gets likely playing type worked
He's got a brace that he's comfortable playing in. He's in condition, he's worked at it. It's the type of thing that if he gets his arm in a certain position, that's when it's more likely to be hurt.
hard-work guy talent
He's probably the hardest-working guy I've been around who has great ability. Overachievers work hard because they have to. Peyton has rare talent, but chooses to push himself like he doesn't.
motivational teamwork hard-work
Hard work and togetherness. They go hand in hand. You need the hard work because it's such a tough atmosphere... to win week in and week out. You need togetherness because you don't always win, and you gotta hang though together.
developing focused good practice stay talented
I think we have a pretty good team. We're still young, we still do things defensively that need some explanation at times. We play very hard, we practice well, we stay focused and those are all good signs. We have a lot of talented guys, so if you can keep that focus, we should be pretty good. I think we are developing into a good team.
consistent few guys next rushing special weeks whether
I think we have the makings. We have special guys rushing the passer. Whether we can be consistent and do all the other things, that's what the next few weeks will show.
coach deserve guys happen players
Those guys deserve everything they get. You couldn't coach two players that you would want this to happen for more.
early fourth kept panic played spirits third
We got down early but we didn't panic on the sideline. We kept our spirits up and we played a lot better in the second, third and early in the fourth quarter. We made some big plays. We got the turnovers. We got the momentum.
balls gotten knocked loose win
We've knocked a lot of balls loose and had some fumbles on the ground, but we just haven't gotten them. We've got to keep pressing and persevering because that will not win for us down the stretch.
