amidst both couple good guys mistakes point
My point was (Saturday) that amidst all the runs, both of the guys did a lot of good things. (Sunday), Wainwright pitched well, but he made a couple mistakes that he got away with.
certainly excited great high
Just look at him, he's in great shape. I don't know if he's more excited than he's ever been, but certainly he's not any less. I think he's high quality.
neck sore
The neck where he had the whiplash, that's what's sore -- more sore.
allowed hard healthy hitting run
He hasn't been declared healthy yet. He's working hard everyday. He's hitting everyday. He's just not allowed to run or jump.
catcher looks middle pick smart
So far, it looks like a smart move. When you pick up a catcher in the middle of his 20s like that, we may have something there.
guys hang hung limit runs
Hung in there? You don't just hang in there when you limit them to two runs with all those opportunities. When he had guys on base, he was outstanding.
depth good pay shown starting
I think they're starting to feel good about how they're throwing. We've shown the kind of depth that can pay off for us.
hard missed playing quick spring time
He hasn't started working out hard yet. I don't know enough about his stroke. He missed a lot of playing time in spring training, so I don't know how quick (his return) can be.
happen knows three tomorrow
I think it's huge. With the 2-3-2 format, you let this one get away from you, and who knows what's going to happen tomorrow and then you have three at their place.
couple infection longer maybe
Give it a couple days. Maybe longer if his infection isn't gone. We feel for him. We need him.
baseball character great happy miss remarkable
He's a remarkable baseball man, a remarkable character and a remarkable friend. Yeah, I miss him, but I feel great because he's as happy as he can be.
compensate great hanging pieces year
It's been a great story all year long, how we've been able to compensate for some really important pieces that have not been available, ... He's an important piece and we're still hanging in there.

They have done some really good things, mixed their pitchers or patterns up. I think no matter how good you pitch, we've got so many weapons, there's a way for us to break through and we haven't.
