depends dominant guy hit home offensive played player runs
A guy like that, could he do enough to be the dominant player at the position? Depends on what kind of offensive player he becomes. He's got a live bat. He could hit 15, 20 home runs if he played every day. He's just got to find a way to do it.
frustrated process sat scratched
I sat down with him right away, and I think he was as frustrated as we were. He was working to try and get there. The process was difficult. But he has been working. So we scratched his sideline.
absolutely ball behind dugout game hitter likely separate time walk walked worst yell
I don't necessarily think you can separate the two. When you come into a game with a big lead, absolutely the worst thing you can do is to walk guys. That's the only time I'd yell from the dugout - whey they walked somebody. So when you get behind a hitter in that situation, it's more likely a ball catches too much plate.

anybody bothers facet good hitting playing
He is playing so good in every facet of the game. He's hitting fourth, and that's because nothing bothers him. He just plays. He's been as important as anybody we have; he's had an outstanding year.
beat dies disrespect general guarantee hours lives manager minutes nobody owners team
No disrespect to the coaches, but nobody lives and dies with a team like the manager. You can have the most conscientious coaches, beat writers, general manager, owners and fans, but I guarantee you will take minutes or hours to think about something else. A manager can't let it go.
drama foul heroic home hurt incredibly pitches run saw understanding
I think my first understanding of the significance of Gibson's home run is the drama of what he did that day, as hurt as he was, that being his only at-bat. And if you saw him foul those pitches off and how gimpy he was, it was an incredibly heroic kind of at-bat, if you can use hero in sports,
afraid believe bunch club fits guys
He fits in. One of the things we believe about our club is we have a bunch of guys who are prime-timers, who are not afraid to take big at-bats.
last rough starts virtually
I think if you look at virtually every starter, we've had some rough starts in the last two weeks,
hat roger
You take your hat off to Roger Clemens. You could tell he was ouchy there a little bit.
number watching zero
You're watching the number and go '10-9-8' and get to one and you're going to celebrate? Zero is when you celebrate. That's what we're doing to do.
affected against ball concentration fell game great guy incident looks night pitch screws soon talked
My whole concentration on the game is affected by a pitch that got away. You know, that looks so terrible. The guy is a great pro. I just talked to Julian in there for a long time. Nothing against him, as soon as he fell out of his delivery...the ball has to get down. He's a sinker ball pitcher. That incident screws up the whole night for me.
beautiful game hardly pieces remind
There's a lot of pieces that remind you of the old Busch, especially in a 3 o'clock game when it's about 5 and you can't hardly see. It think it's a beautiful ballpark.
ashamed cast guys negative ought
Any of you guys that cast any kind of negative implication on Albert, you ought to be ... ashamed of yourselves.
