kids leaders pull stepped team took
At one point, we were 1-5, but we had some leaders who stepped up to pull the team together. We showed some major-league teamwork, kids who all wanted the same things, and did what it took to be successful.
ball driving good instead kicking open second trying
The second half, we were getting the same things we got in the first half. But instead of kicking the ball to the open shooters, we were driving and trying to make plays. And they got us into their game, and we're not as good in a half-court game.
dribble kicks open settled stuff
We were on our stuff in the first half. We got some dribble penetration and some kicks to the open shooters. But I think they settled down, went to their people, and we weren't able to answer.
defensive expect hitting knew looks open quick quite realized
To be quite honest, I don't think they knew what to expect from us. We were getting defensive pressure, getting open looks and hitting shots. I don't think they realized how quick we were.
felt missed shots
We felt like they'd be a little nervous, because they were in that situation. I think it showed with their shooting. They missed a lot of shots they usually make.
