dangerous five goal great guys jump mattered mind player team together
It wouldn't have mattered if they only had five guys to play with. Sometimes when a great player is not in the lineup, that's when a team is most dangerous because you play together and you play loose. That was in our mind before the game, and our goal was to jump on them early.
block disrupt field goals hand however junior mainly pass pulled situation
I used to block field goals in junior high, so I just pulled out that technique. In a situation like that, you always want to get a hand on the ball, but mainly you just want to disrupt the pass however you can.
block check field goals junior technique
I used to block field goals in junior high. Seriously. Check the technique out.
basketball came catch hard instead lead playing relief starters statement
The starters came out playing hard and made a statement early. For us, having a lead instead of being on the other end where we had to play catch up was a relief for us.
games general hopefully passing stepped team tough trying win
The team in general stepped it up, got in passing lanes and made them take tough shots. We're trying to win as many games as possible, some ugly, hopefully some impressive.
effort execution keys tough
Our effort and our execution were the keys to our victory. If we play like that, we're tough to beat.
advantage division game might playoff tie win
Each division game counts. You never know you, might end up with a tie and you want the tiebreaker. You want the advantage when it comes to playoff positioning. For us, it important to win every game, of course, but it's even more important to win every division game.
aggression attacks basketball double helps lane leave plays pressure puts shooting shot teams tend
Teams tend to double off him sometimes and leave him open. He's shooting with confidence. If he plays with aggression, it puts a lot of pressure on some big men. And if he attacks shot blockers it helps us get in the lane a little easier.
aggressive ball decisions guy knocking move open quick shared
Offensively, we were aggressive and we shared the ball. We made quick decisions - move the ball and find the open guy. The open guy was knocking down shots.
bad care dictate game games less people playoffs scrutiny shake
Oh, I can care less about scrutiny and all that. If it was a bad game, it was a bad game. Just because of what people say and what people think, they don't dictate my game and how I play. I've been in the playoffs before and I've had bad games in the playoffs before. It's just one of those things, you shake it off.
feels jason ready run saying
Feels good. I've been saying for a while that I was going to give Jason a run for his money. Now I'm ready to start.
afternoon dress hardest morning nap stiff took woke work
This morning it was all right. I woke up stiff. I did some work and it made me feel better. Took a nap and it was a little stiff. It was more stiff when I woke up this afternoon than this morning. I said, 'Hey, just let it go.' That was the hardest thing for me, to not dress up and play.
fifth looking since
This is the fifth game, and he's been doing this since day one. So we're just looking for him to do it every game. When he doesn't do it, then we'll be surprised.
best hoping playing time
This is the best time to be playing our best basketball. I'm hoping it can only be better.
