He's a little older, executed to a higher degree what I asked him to do. But the other guy, T.C., made it tough. He's a good football player as well. It wasn't like it was a runaway. I'm respectful of what I see in T.C. Ostrander's talent and his potential. He's a competitor.

It's amazing for a quarterback to get 92 yards rushing and not run the option.
everybody guys pulled
These guys pulled together. You could feel the camaraderie. Everybody was rocking.
fourth game hopefully turning
Hopefully the fourth game was a turning point,
athletes gets great scheme succeeded
Of course, they had a lot of great athletes and I think they would have succeeded in any scheme. I think sometimes the scheme gets a little too much publicity.

I'm going to miss Ted because I think we have a lot of common belief about how to get the job done. I'm sad in some ways because we need that guy in our corner, but I'm extremely happy for him because I know what a great place Pacific is, and I know that he wanted to do it. I'm a Ted Leland fan. I can put my job second and my friendship first.

It was a great game for our players to win. It was a great win for us, man. I thought it was an excellent game for us.

We had to replace four coaches from last year's staff and I'm very pleased with the personnel we were able to bring in. Jeff is obviously a talented, young coach who will play a key role on our staff.

We had a couple of runs for him. It's something we had to do.

There are days the offensive line looks like they're putting it together. At times we see the light at the end of the tunnel. They're starting to respond, but they've got to grow up fast.

We're in the process of trying to improve. We've probably got a little better feel for what we've got to work on, and the players also have a better feel for what they need to execute better.

We've won 10 games in (the past) three years. There's no way we would cop an attitude.

We don't have very many skill players ... that's a big loss. We have to close ranks and keep marching.
blocking fell front looked lost protection wheels
When we lost Trent it looked like the wheels fell off offensively, ... I was disappointed in the blocking up front and the protection was not good. T.C. has to play better as well.
