There's not so much tension; all the athletes are on good terms. You get your feet wet at big meets like this, but I've been there before, so now I can use that intensity and focus to my advantage.

It's an interactive production where I eliminate the wall between me and the audience and talk to people like Darrow. You have to be prepared for anything when you make it that interactive.

She can do things that no one in our district can do. She's got a quick first step, and is an incredible athlete. I'm honored to have the opportunity to coach her.

They had some fantastic swimmers in the 400 free and we were tired. The adrenaline flow was so heavy early and by the end it was a struggle. It was a very draining meet in terms of emotion.
