We didn't have the race we were hoping to have. We are still in a learning phase; I don't think that result reflects our speed at all.

I wasn't supposed to be back until January, but this was my senior year and I knew we were going to be special. So I tried to speed up the process. I didn't miss any games, but I missed preseason practice. It just took me a little while to get going.

I was a fifth-grader when (Bath) won the state championship and my son played on the '99 team that played for the state championship. So it would be nice to get a piece of it - to get a little bragging rights.
