advantage key terrible
It's not like we got outplayed. We just didn't take advantage when we had opportunities. We had some terrible at-bats in key spots.
coming conversation excited great heading leader plane team wayne
I had a great conversation with Wayne as I jumped on the plane to come to Turin and Wayne's excited. He's really excited about coming here to Turin and heading the men's team. Wayne should be here. He's been the leader of this team from day one.
I thought he was just Jim, just fine.
allow call exactly heard hit hooking last meeting players sat team words
I sat in the last (IIHF) directors' meeting and the words I heard in the last directors' meeting were exactly what I wanted to hear. They were going to allow players to hit and they were going to call the hooking and the holding. Now the players are confused. We have to get this much more consistent, not for Team Canada, but for every player in this tournament.
clear coach deal direct good great players shows
He's such a good coach because he is very clear and direct to the players on what he wants. He really makes them accountable, but in his own way always shows a great deal of support.
children past people
It's the post-literate generation that is most disturbing to a movie-maker. The explosions and the knifings. People like to go to what's hot and you can't get past a certain gross unless you involve children who go more than once.
advantage game opportunity ourselves playing separates teams three
There's very little that separates the three teams that are going to be playing in the regional. Very little. If we play the way we did in (Tuesday's) first game, we'll give ourselves an opportunity to win. But if we don't take advantage of our opportunities or have one game where we don't play well, we're going to get beat. It's that simple.
against law passed quote simple state
To quote Meg, ... 'It is just too embarrassing to live in a state that can't keep passed a simple law against discrimination.'
It's very important that this be the right decision,
war sleep fighting
What's somewhat puzzling is that Churchill himself knew what the reaction would be to any sort of aerial attack on cities, because in 1938 he said that in a future war British cities would be attacked by bombing, and that the response would be that all men would want to join the fight because they would be so incensed by this cowardly manner of attack. Which is a very natural response: when something drops on you from the air and blows up a bunch of buildings and kills people in their sleep, the reaction is going to be rage, confusion, and a search for something to destroy in retaliation.
We'll all read a lot into the results.
against good intensity played second team
I thought we played very tentative and without a lot of intensity in the second half. We didn't do the things that we do well, and you can't do that against a good team like Conestoga.
best foot happened worried
We're not worried about what's happened in the past. Were just going to go out and put our best foot forward.
thinking trying sides
I am closer to the pacifist side, in that I think that the British response to German aggression, which was to try to starve the Continent into a state of revolt and to terrorize German civilians with bombing raids, was part of the total catastrophe.
