everybody finish flashes hit needs notice obviously particular shown thrown
I think everybody needs to finish up strong, ... He's obviously been a little inconsistent lately. Not put any particular notice on him. He needs to hit his spots. He's thrown well at times. He's shown flashes here and there.
asset confidence himself needs player
That little butcher-boy play is a play he needs to do more often. It's a big asset for him. He just needs to have confidence in himself to do it a lot. That's his game. That's the kind of player he's going to be. That's the player he should be, so I'd like to see him do it.
early indoors needs pound routine work
Pedro does a lot of his work indoors anyway. We wanted him to not pound as much early on in camp, but he's going to work into his routine and do what he needs to do.
ahead continues liked needs obviously pitch seen
Bannister still needs to make this club, so I'm not going to get ahead of myself with all that. I have liked what I've seen from (Bannister) all spring. If he continues to pitch well, obviously he has a chance.
ball excited forget hits home knows needs time
Any time Jose hits a home run, I try to forget it real quick. I let him know that he needs to forget about it real quick, so I don't get excited about home runs. He knows I don't like for him to hit the ball in the air. But he's got some pop.
double needs work
He needs a lot of work on the double play,
muscle pull
Pull a muscle in the on-deck circle, how do you do that?
talked wants
He wants to be the best. We've talked a lot about his approach.

I just told them to make sure they don't like the taste they have in their mouth, that they spit it out right away,
comforting glad wants
It's very comforting to have him. He wants to be the best, and we're glad to have him.

It's only his second start. I'm not concerned or worried about it.

He has the tendency to overthrow the ball. I'm sure tonight it was no different.
