aaron fresh spring starting stretched
Aaron is fresh and stretched out from starting in spring training.
blown command hit knows slippery spring time trying
It was his first time out after having very little Spring Training. He didn't have a feel for the ball. It was very cold, very slippery day. It was something that got blown out of proportion. I know that he knows that he wasn't trying to intentionally hit anyone. You will see that his command will be better.
arm feels since spring throwing
It was a different spring for him since he didn't get a lot of throwing in. But he's told me his arm feels super.
barometer base best bit couple emphasis games good guys knocks relax spring training turn whatever
It was good to see him relax a little bit and get going. Obviously, spring training is not the best barometer for how you base these guys but, you know, he was 0-for-20 or whatever and he had a couple knocks so that's why you don't put a lot of emphasis on games like this because you can turn it around in one day.
ball blessing break played plenty resting sets spring strong time training winter
I don't think its sets him back. He played winter ball so he had enough throwing. It could be a blessing in disguise. If you take a little break before spring training he could be strong after resting up. He'll have plenty of time to get ready.
certain continuing solid spring style toward training work
It's Spring Training, so you get your work in. But we're still continuing to work toward a certain style of solid play, how we go about our business. I want to see some of that, too. Spring Training isn't just about stats.

Pull a muscle in the on-deck circle, how do you do that?

I just told them to make sure they don't like the taste they have in their mouth, that they spit it out right away,
comforting glad wants
It's very comforting to have him. He wants to be the best, and we're glad to have him.
concerned second worried
It's only his second start. I'm not concerned or worried about it.
overthrow sure tendency tonight
He has the tendency to overthrow the ball. I'm sure tonight it was no different.
david
It's a little different than David Wright .
boils learning matter pains winning
It's just a matter of going through the pains of learning how to play winning baseball, ... That's really what it boils down to.
