curl double gotten run tag tried umpire
That's just the way things are going for us. We could have gotten a run out of it, but we wouldn't have gotten out of the double play. He tried to curl out of the tag and the umpire made the right call.
happier jason job sure
Jason did an outstanding job for us. I'm sure he's happy, and I couldn't be happier for him.
deserve guys job knock proud
Our job is to try to knock them off. At least one night, we did. I'm proud of them. Those guys are celebrating, and they deserve it.
guys
Our big guys and little guys have to be better than that,
jeremy physically wrong
Physically I didn't see anything wrong with him, ... but I think right now Jeremy is overthrowing.
brightest happen piece
I think he's the brightest thing to happen to us this season. He's a big piece of the puzzle.
season
I still think Carlos will play before the season is over.
I thought he was out, ... It was a reaction.
arguably best david easy guarantee players talking
It is easy to second-guess me, but it was my call. I'd like someone to give me a guarantee that David Ortiz wouldn't have done that to Nate Robertson. We're talking about someone who is arguably one of the best players in baseball.
greatest
I wouldn't say it was one of his greatest performances, but he pitched well enough to win.
chances
Just to even say there's a possibility, wow. But I'd have to say chances are we're going to have to make an adjustment.
credit dave good played staff
It actually played well. I give Dave Mellor and his staff a lot of credit for getting it in good shape. Certainly, it's not perfect, but how could it be?
I think it's just the losing, the day in and day out, ... It's probably a little too much for us to overcome.
best next
I would like to get back into managing, or coaching, next year. I think that's in my best interest.
