runs score takes toll
A lot of things aren't going our way. You score that many runs in the first inning and then give up six, it's depleting and it takes its toll on you.
head runner
The runner has to keep his head up in that situation.
ball breaking hit needed run swung third
First and third with one out, we needed to put that ball in play and we didn't. Not being able to get that hit and run down there kills us. He got the breaking ball, then he swung through it.
chances instead letting might runners score second
You want to get that runner, ... Yes, they might still have runners on first and second with one out, but you will take your chances with that instead of letting the go-ahead run score that late.

ball contact good guy hit home last runs
This guy is a good contact hitter. He can put the ball in play. He hit 17 home runs last year. He's a good hitter, and he's a good infielder.
curl double gotten run tag tried umpire

baseball definitely good grows league major player
He kind of grows on you, ... He's a good baseball player with good instincts. He's already a major league outfielder. This is more than just a look-see. We think Curtis is definitely a part of our future.
cleveland
They're still very much the favorite, but Cleveland is making it interesting.
brightest happen piece
I think he's the brightest thing to happen to us this season. He's a big piece of the puzzle.
aggressive batting collapsing taller
He's a little taller (in his batting stance), a little more aggressive to the ball. He's not collapsing on his backside. His swing's more level.
adjective ahead good might pick plate seven six stayed
That was -- pick an adjective -- brilliant, outstanding. He was on the plate and he stayed ahead of the hitters. He's had seven outings for us, and six of them have been good ones, but this one might have been his best.
