He's really given us more team speed on the field and he's done a good job of tackling.
He's had a tremendous career, ... He's been there 40-some years, whatever it is, six decades, (won) three Super Bowl championships. He's been the commissioner of the AFL, been a coach.
But again, I think that's consistent with his philosophy, ... Whatever Al's philosophy is, it's been pretty consistent through the years, be it the type of players he gets to play corner(back), the coaches, their style of play, what he wears. It's all consistent.
I have all the respect in the world for Rodney Harrison. I told him that when we brought him here, and he's made great contributions to this team. There's no question about it. Unfortunately, he had a tough setback last weekend and so did the team, but that's the way it is. We're playing San Diego this week. Unfortunately, he won't be with us. I wish he was, but he's not.
He's feeling better. He's looking better. He's a lot better than he was last week. So he's upgraded from where he was last week.
That was a great experience for me, working with Joe, ... It was my first real exposure to the 3-4, and the way that Joe played the 3-4 was a lot different than the way we played it in New York (under Bill Parcells) a couple of years later.
I don't want to get involved in that. Just talk to them. I'm sure they have an answer for everything.
He can beat you in a lot of different ways. Somebody has to be conscious of him on those bootlegs. That's one less guy that can be involved in (stopping) the running game. He demands a lot of attention.
He's got a skill and we got a chance to let him use it, and I am happy for him. First time since '41. It might be 60 years again, too.
Dean Pees has done an outstanding job coaching our linebackers. When he joined us, Dean brought a wealth of experience into this system and has been a significant part of our success over the past two seasons.
I have so much respect for Keenan and I'm really proud to have coached him. I'm not saying that I developed his career or anything, I don't mean it that way, but I mean just what he brought as a player, his work ethic, his attitude . . . He's really a special guy.
We have absolutely done as much work as we can on finding out things like that and we'll try to get all the information that we can as that would apply to any current situation, which I can't talk about.
Noll responded. ''The facts speak for themselves. I don't have to say it. The Steelers have proven themselves.
Every player that dresses for the game, I've told them to be ready to go for 60 minutes just like it's a regular-season game.
