Julian makes the game easier for others by getting them easy baskets. But he can also make the game more complicated than what it is.
confidence good grew guys season stand sweeter
Certainly, from my stand point, this was sweeter than any of the other (victories) that we have had this season because we started (Big 12 play) 1-2. We were 1-2 and not very good, but the guys got confidence and the young guys grew up and we got pretty good late.

Everybody's shooting two or three or four a game. I think with teams like that, it's why you don't shoot as good a percentage. But 8-for-17 is miserable. It's already cost us a couple of games.
call foul game mean officials opening physical stuff
I thought it was a physical game before the game started. I mean before the opening tip. I don't know that the intentional foul made it more physical. I think it made officials call more stuff after that.

I don't think they got many open looks at the basket. But, even when you shoot bad, you're going to make five of them. But, I thought we really played hard out there. Some of the guys didn't play well, but they played hard.

Teams learn how to win when they're not playing well and this team did that against Oklahoma. It's a maturation process with this team, but I think the guys really grew up in that game. Teams have to learn how to win ugly sometimes and we certainly did that. I couldn't be more proud of them.
approach last playing tight tournament year
I always have had the approach to try to be loose. Last year was probably as tight as we've been going into a tournament and I think a lot of it was we weren't playing well.
enjoy guys playing seem team
This team is pretty loose. A lot of that is just youth. We have a lot of young guys out there, and they don't know any better. Even when we're not playing well, they still seem to enjoy playing with each other.
bad certainly december duke dwell game good played roll team texas
We've been on a pretty good roll and certainly played a bad game tonight. Texas didn't become a bad team after Duke (a 31-point setback December 10) and we didn't become a bad team after these 40 minutes. We certainly aren't going to dwell on that.
building winning
Winning in someone else's building is always gratifying. I think this win will give them a lot of confidence.
