Last week Keith complained of soreness is his knee. He had an MRI on Monday, which revealed some very slight cartilage damage. Keith, his mother and the medical staff then got together and decided to repair it now instead of having it be a nuisance throughout the season.
attention below george perfect setup stay
It's a perfect setup for them. With all the attention on George Mason, they can stay below the radar.
hung losing missouri people ruined ups
Losing to Missouri and K-State ... a lot of people thought that ruined our season. But we hung on to the positives. There are going to be a lot of ups and downs, but I'd have to think we're on an upswing right now.
fashion helped lose seven
You can't lose when you are up seven with a minute-and-a-half left. It's one thing to lose. It's another to lose in the fashion we did. We helped them come back to win.
guys pull thinking time
They'll pull for the other guys to do well, but at the same time, they are thinking 'This is my time too.' So I think it is going to make for some pretty competitive practices.
colorado drawing team
Colorado has a better team than it's had in years, and I think they are drawing better than they were earlier.
certainly deserves deserving guy level played tie
He deserves it. If you're going to tie for the championship, I think you have to have one guy up there. Brandon certainly played at a level deserving of that.
changed game guys maybe plays
Some guys play a little better when they are ill. Maybe the game slowed down for him a little bit. He made some plays that sparked us and really changed the game.
energy feet last offensive outside played shots three ugly yesterday
I don't think we played with the same energy we did last night. But we made shots. ... Yesterday we made three shots outside of 6 feet for the game. Three. Today, if we did not make shots, it would have really been an ugly offensive game.
allowed talent
If we allowed them to play well, talent was going to prevail, and we allowed them to play well.
based best four great half jim job kansas last league perspective potential rick state team teams watched
From a coach's perspective, if I watched Jim Wooldridge's team or Rick Barnes' team, it makes a difference. Your job is based on how you do with the potential that you have. That's why I think Jim is a great coach. I think Kansas State is one of the best four teams in our league in the last half of the Big 12 season.
beat believe conference confidence good great hard help magnitude national performance saturday winning
A good performance on Saturday would be a great springboard for our kids' confidence going into conference play. You can get confidence from winning games, but you still have to go out and beat someone of national magnitude to really believe that it's going to help you win a hard game.
beat bond due enjoys family fraternity guys honestly nobody profession salt seeing somebody strong suffer worth
You want to beat them on the court, or on the field. But after that, there is a strong fraternity of guys that really bond together, that look out for the betterment of all coaches. I would honestly say that nobody in our profession who's worth his salt enjoys seeing somebody else suffer, or their family suffer due to a termination.
affected game handled hurt mature
I don't think that game has affected him negatively. He's a mature kid, and he's handled it well. He's fine. But I do think that, at least initially, it hurt and hurt bad.
