arm control
I put my arm around him and told him that the only thing you can control is how you play when you are on the floor.
afraid confront feelings harbor proud weaknesses
I'm firm, but fair. I think one of my weaknesses is I'll harbor my feelings for a while and then all at once ... let it go. I'm not proud of that necessarily. ... I'm not afraid of confrontation at all. I don't like to confront players, but I will if I have to.
care employees hit kept taking
Employees just kept getting hit by (rising) health-care costs. Other things were more important to them than taking care of their employees.
believe confidence luke missed needs self-esteem
That's kind of where Luke is right now. Luke is on his way back to getting the kind of confidence that he needs and the self-esteem that he needs. ... I can't believe he missed them both.
bad nights worst
I've been through nights like this before where they are just not there. It was just a bad night. The worst night we had in a long time.
court defensive finished front good great kept needed team win
We sorely needed to win a game. That was a team win. I thought we really got a lot of good performances from a lot of people. We got stops, we're not a great defensive team but the team we had on the court at the end did what they needed to get the stops. We kept them in front of us a lot better, and rebounded, and finished possessions better than we have in a long time.
assess blame magic people record somebody winning
Winning solves everything. It really does. It's like a magic pill. ... When you have a record like ours, people want to know why. They want to assess blame to somebody when sometimes there's no blame to assess.
help position
We need help at that position. That's a real important position in the league. That's a Band-Aid for us for sure.
fans good half needed robert second team
We needed Robert to have a good game. The team needed Robert to have a good game, the fans probably needed Robert to have a good game, so the second half was great.
luke ray sink teeth
We just couldn't make a shot. Ray couldn't make a shot. Luke couldn't make a shot. ... We couldn't sink our teeth into the game.
feet hurt miss plant second
We could never plant our feet defensively and get a stop. Most of the time, when it really hurt us, it was the second shots. We'd get them to miss and then we just couldn't get the rebound.
ball below extra foul front good guy job last
We wanted to keep an extra guy in front of Kobe. And keep the last guy open. When the ball was below the foul line, I think we did a really good job of that.
afford best camp forward move rest training
We can't afford to have another training camp now. We've just got to move forward and try to do the best we can the rest of the year.
fight games legs move played sure
We played pretty well in the first half, then I'm sure our legs got tired. We wouldn't move and we weren't guarding. Away games are tough, but they have to find a way to fight fatigue. That was a winnable game.
