floor hurting mental ourselves playing struggling teams toughness type
I think it's us struggling with our offense. I don't think it's so much what other teams are doing to us, I just think it's ourselves. Right now I don't see the mental toughness when we go out on the floor and play and like a team playing with that type of confidence, I think we're hurting ourselves more than other teams are hurting us.
camp capable group guys hate hear love players playing season since start third together training week
I look at it that since we put this group of guys together in the third week of February, how are we playing and what are we capable of becoming? I know the players would hate to hear this, but I'd love to go to training camp with this group right now and start the season all over again.
expecting genuinely hope level obvious playing reason whatever works
It was just obvious for whatever reason that he wasn't playing at the level that he's used to or the level that I was expecting him to play. But I genuinely hope that it works out for him in New York.
chasing combine credit game parts playing terms thinking
He's doing more than he's ever had to really do before, in terms of thinking about the game and playing all the parts of the game. And to combine that with chasing down every rebound, that's a credit to him that he's able to keep that pace.
attacking ball basket finding people playing shooting
He's (Nelson) playing with a lot of confidence. He's playing really well, shooting the ball well, attacking the basket and finding other people on the floor.
amazed certainly credit deserve enjoy guys move pick playing team
I don't know if I'm amazed by this team or not. But it's certainly a lot more fun. These guys deserve the credit because they enjoy playing with one another. If a guy makes a mistake, we pick each other (up) and move on because they're playing unselfishly and hard.
extremely fifth playing team together unselfish veteran win year
This is the fifth year they've been a 50-plus win team. They're a veteran team that just understands how to win, and they're extremely unselfish and playing together very well.
control father games number playing worry
My father always told me just worry about the things you can control and don't worry about anything else. I can't control the number of games we play. As long as we keep playing the way we're playing, that's the most important thing to me.
competing easily encouraged extremely good guys hard played playing putting team
This is one of the hard things when you are putting guys out there in different spots. Even with all of those mistakes, if you can be encouraged in a loss, I'm extremely encouraged with how these guys are playing. They could have easily quit. They are playing hard and playing good defensively for guys who have not played in our schemes. I like the way this team is competing right now.
basketball excellent great guys night playing win
All the guys were really, really excited. That was a great win over an excellent basketball team. That we did it after playing the night before (against Toronto) made it even more impressive.
acquire alongside complement dwight gives high nice opportunity playing skill
This gives us the opportunity to acquire a 7-footer with a high skill level. We feel that he will be a nice complement playing alongside (forward) Dwight Howard.
attacking basketball confidence extra keeping obviously organized pass playing pressure putting running season standpoint steadily success sure team teammate type willing
He's progressed steadily through the season from the standpoint of running the basketball team, keeping the team organized offensively, making sure that we don't get into a helter-skelter type of game, especially when we're in transition. Obviously he's playing with more confidence with the success he's having, attacking the basket and putting pressure on the defense. He's a very willing passer and always willing to make the extra pass when a teammate is open.
gets guys open playing sharing
These guys are playing unselfishly, they're sharing he ball, and if there's an open guy, he gets the ball.
francis good guys job last looked steve watching year
Steve looked like, I think, the Steve Francis that you guys were used to watching last year and that we anticipate. He was aggressive, he was attacking, he did a good job defensively.
