camp capable group guys hate hear love players playing season since start third together training week
I look at it that since we put this group of guys together in the third week of February, how are we playing and what are we capable of becoming? I know the players would hate to hear this, but I'd love to go to training camp with this group right now and start the season all over again.

I've said all along that the key thing is that we finish up this season on a positive note so that these guys feel good about themselves and feel good about what we can accomplish next year. That's the biggest impetus and with the way we're finishing up, I think everybody feels the same way, that this team has a chance to be a real nice basketball team if we continue to work at it.

I told the team the season is not over until after game 82. The eighth (playoff) spot to me is still anybody's and still up for grabs. Chicago doesn't think they are out of it, and we don't think we are out of it, either. We are just going to continue to play hard.

He's done a great job this season and he's done a great job over the last few weeks. He's come along on both ends of the floor and that's something that we've really needed.

He's progressed steadily through the season from the standpoint of running the basketball team, keeping the team organized offensively, making sure that we don't get into a helter-skelter type of game, especially when we're in transition. Obviously he's playing with more confidence with the success he's having, attacking the basket and putting pressure on the defense. He's a very willing passer and always willing to make the extra pass when a teammate is open.

Steve looked like, I think, the Steve Francis that you guys were used to watching last year and that we anticipate. He was aggressive, he was attacking, he did a good job defensively.

I think it's us struggling with our offense. I don't think it's so much what other teams are doing to us, I just think it's ourselves. Right now I don't see the mental toughness when we go out on the floor and play and like a team playing with that type of confidence, I think we're hurting ourselves more than other teams are hurting us.

I thought Stevie was great in the fourth quarter. We basically were just going to ride him, and he had, I thought, the perfect balance between when to look for his own move and when to penetrate and find other people.

I thought our guys played outstanding. We got contributions from everyone out there tonight. I'm very pleased with the way we played.

He (Howard) was very focused. He attacked the basket. He was really active on the defensive end and on offensive boards and he did a excellent job.

The thing that's separating him from years past is his attacking the basket. He's putting the ball on the floor and really looking to get to the basket.
