five needed san stopping
Obviously, the big story was Manny stopping (all five San Jose shooters) in a row. All we needed was one and we got it.
arm behind chance common common-sense goal good guess mean puck underneath
I didn't see the replay, but common sense will tell you that if the glove and the arm are behind the goal line, there's a pretty good chance the puck is underneath it. I guess common sense doesn't mean anything there.
early energy exciting hawks
The Hawks didn't have a lot of energy after the early goal. It wasn't an exciting game, but that's the way we like to play.
choose good pick teams
If I had more teams to choose from, I wouldn't pick any other place to be. This organization, the team, the coach, everything about it has been very positive. It's been a good fit.
board drawing obviously
We've obviously got to do better. We'll go back to the drawing board and see what we come up with.
cylinders everybody hockey win
We have to play near-perfect hockey and everybody has to be going on all cylinders to win hockey games. And we weren't going.
games hockey home positive road trip ways win
We've got to find ways to win those games, no question. But it was a positive road trip for us. Now we've got to take it back home and win some hockey games.
continue hockey people players usa
We've got to get players into the system. We've got to find a way to continue to get some players into the system. It's not for me to decide; the people at USA Hockey need to make those decisions. But as a player, I think we have to look at the system.
battle red watching wings
We were watching the Red Wings play, and you just can't do that. It's frustrating. We didn't battle tonight.
effort mean
We didn't get our two points. 'A' for effort doesn't mean a whole lot if you don't get the win.
cylinders hockey
We got to play near-perfect hockey and everybody's got to be going on all cylinders for us to win, and we weren't going.
contribute game taking though
We are taking too many penalties. Everyone has to contribute to make us successful. And even though we did not play well tonight, we were right there. At this point, every game is huge.
breaks
We're making our breaks now. When we are all on the same page, we can play with anybody.
battle came close including maybe night people playoff
When we came into the season, I don't think there were a whole lot of people who thought we were going to be close to a playoff position, maybe including the organization. We have to battle every night to get there. It's going to be tough, still. But we can be there.
