Hopefully, it won't ruin a friendship. Obviously, he's in hated Dodger Blue now. It is an interesting twist of fate.

Hopefully, it won't ruin a friendship. Obviously, he's in hated Dodger blue. I'm sure he'll be having a lot of pasta dinners with Tommy (Lasorda). Levity aside, it is an interesting flip of fate. You guys know how close we are personally, how hard we worked professionally.
dominant eye force guy
He's the prototype. He has been and will be a dominant force at the end of the game. ... He's a guy we had our eye on.
blame choice obviously starts turn
I'm embarrassed we had to do it, ... The blame starts with me. We made choices, and they obviously didn't turn out.

hard jason sign
I don't want to be too hard-line about it, but the more we see of the old Jason Schmidt, the more you want to sign him.
head hope next player possibly pursued recent
I do know he has interest. We've pursued him as much as any player we possibly could, of recent note. We hope it comes to a head in the next day or so.
accomplish challenged either heck league market rest review route shape step terms
I don't see either route to be a surefire way to accomplish what we want to do. We're going to be challenged in the market and challenged in terms of trades. But as I step back and review our situation, the division, the league and the rest of baseball, we're in a heck of a lot better shape than some other teams.
agents bogged dog draft free larger last lose pony possible quite seemingly slower teams until waiting whether
It's quite possible it could be a dog and pony show until after Dec. 7. It's seemingly going slower than I ever could have expected. ... I'm not sure, but my inclination the last day or so is teams are bogged down waiting until Dec. 7 whether for their own free agents or so they don't lose draft picks. Dec. 7 looms larger than other years.
dog pony possible quite until
It's quite possible it could be a dog and pony show until after Dec. 7.
baseball best club doubt enter far general noah pitchers player reminds unique
It's unique that the club would enter into a partnership with a young player who reminds me so much of years ago with Russ Ortiz . Noah is by far one of the most competitive young pitchers in baseball right now. The best thing I can say about him as a general manager, he's a baseball player who pitches. ... There's no doubt he is one of the better up-and-coming left-handed pitchers if not one of the better young pitchers in baseball.
everybody holding waiting
Everybody has been holding their breath, waiting for this. Especially us.

Taking batting practice is one thing, and taking fungoes and running the bases at 50 percent,
asking building definitely good standing steps taking
It's definitely a day-to-day situation, but the good thing is (Bonds) is building on what they're asking him to do. He's not standing still and he's not taking steps back. He's going forward.
