I think we've gone over and beyond the line of caution on our part. I think Chris certainly feels that way.

It would be a different look for sure. He's going to get a good chance. That would certainly break up the pattern. But at the same time, you're going to take your five best pitchers.

That's what you want to see at the top of the lineup. Plus, the position is changing, especially in the American League, to one that produces runs. He certainly is a strong candidate.

Padilla has been very fluid with his motion, free and easy. He's had a pretty good face since he's been here. He knows some people in the organization and he likes the place and the weather. He has had a smile on his face, which is not always the case with him.

I think he's ready to assume that mantle. I think he's capable of matching up with the other guys. That's a pretty lofty area, but he's one of those guys.
