Padilla has been very fluid with his motion, free and easy. He's had a pretty good face since he's been here. He knows some people in the organization and he likes the place and the weather. He has had a smile on his face, which is not always the case with him.

I think he's ready to assume that mantle. I think he's capable of matching up with the other guys. That's a pretty lofty area, but he's one of those guys.

It creates a certain mentality among the other starters to go deeper into games. It makes your bullpen so much better. Everybody knows their roles. It helps save the bullpen.
