base basketball second start team type until using
The base of our team is our athleticism and our quickness. We didn't start using that until the second half. That's the type of basketball we have to play to be successful.
break couple defense fast floor last nights running
Offensively, we've been fine. We're running the floor and our fast break was fine. (Thursday), our defense got better. Some of the things we've been doing the last couple of nights showed up.
guys tells
It's disappointing. This still tells you how young the guys are.
bit defense definitely guys hurt hurts shooting spread
It doesn't hurt us defensively. We're probably a little better defensively but it definitely hurts us offensively. He's one of the guys that we can spread the defense out a little bit with his shooting ability.
bad break game kinda tomorrow wish
It's big for us. It's too bad the All-Star break is now, I kinda wish we had a game to play tomorrow or Friday.
bring cheer fans game happiness hopefully uplifting
Hopefully this is something that will be uplifting and bring happiness to the fans that come to the game and cheer us on.
chance forward giving great hard himself playing power summer
The thing I always harped about is that he didn't play hard enough. The one thing I told him this summer is that he can be a great power forward because of his skills. But he wasn't giving himself a chance because of not playing hard.
fun great growing guys pains teaching time tough trying understand
It's been a fun first half. It's been tough at times. You go through growing pains (being) so young. For the most part, I've had a great time teaching these guys and trying to make them understand how this game, in my mind, should be played, and they're doing a great job.
basketball best phoenix playing type year
He had his best year in Phoenix playing the type of basketball that we play.
balls fourth loose match playing quarter third
They were playing harder. They were getting after loose balls, long rebounds. We had to match their energy. In the third quarter and fourth quarter, we did a much better job.
control destiny hat opportunity ourselves win winning
All we can do is control our destiny and try to win games. If they win then you've got to take your hat off to them. We can give ourselves an opportunity by winning games. That's all we can do.
backup hope playing role
I don't think we can hope for that much. He'll be playing in a backup role here.
ball bring count david few good halftime handling heck lost mean west
It was a heck of a win. We lost those two guys, and you know how much they mean to us and how much we count on them to take the ball handling duties. We made some adjustments at halftime and had David West bring it up a few times, as well as Desmond Mason, who did a good job.
bad giving knows love playing single someday time true
He's always said that he would love to someday play in Toronto, and that's understandable. That's his hometown. But he's never come in here with a bad attitude. He's been a true professional every single day. He knows this is where he's going to be playing for the time being, and he's giving us 100 percent.
