I was able to follow in his footsteps. It was nice to see the wind calm down so we could make some birdies.
bunker hit middle next putt saved
The 6-iron I hit out of the bunker was what saved the whole day. To be able to hit that shot, make the putt and go to the next hole, hit it right down the middle and make a birdie, two birdies in a row.

I'm pretty happy with myself to be able to get that done. Winning is first, but to get myself into the Tour Championship...that was one of my main goals this week.

Obviously, it's been the hardest course. I'm looking forward to playing it. If the wind is not blowing, you can make some birdies. In turn, if the wind is blowing, a couple under is a great score.

Sure, it's going to be a long day, but I think it will be more mental than physical. We don't have to run around there tomorrow. So, while it's going to be tough walking around this course, we'll handle it.
achievement beat definitely grinding proud tournament
The tournament is not over yet, just because you beat one guy. It's definitely an accomplishment, and I'm proud of myself for grinding it out.
athletes beginning problem younger
I wasn't there at the beginning of the year, but I think the problem here is that we have to get athletes to come out and play. We've been shorthanded and had to play the younger kids.
four goal good hopefully leading special tournament
It's special to be leading after two rounds. Obviously, my goal is to be leading after four rounds, but it's a good start, and hopefully I'll have a good weekend. This is a special tournament and a special place.
course easiest good guys playing safe scores shoot
I don't know if there is a safe lead. You can have some guys playing Bermuda Dunes, I think that's the easiest course and you can shoot some good scores out there.

You can attack now and try to make some birdies. We may have to adjust the game plan.

You know, it's special to be leading after two rounds. Obviously my goal is to be leading after four rounds.

When you've got a 3-up lead through 10, that's a pretty good lead. Standing on the 13th tee only being 1 up, you're pretty disappointed.
