This 2-0 doesn't mean nothing. We've got a big test this week.
They have definitely lived up to expectations, if not surpassed them.
We're playing Pittsburgh, it's not rocket science. Our offense is going to have to execute and we're going to have to do what we do. Throw it all over the place.
We're 3-0, which still doesn't mean nothing. We need to keep on pushing. If we just keep on pushing, hopefully the beginning, which is now, will take care of the end. And we won't have to worry about anyone else winning. We'll just solidify ourselves in the playoffs.
We are going to have to protect the ball better, pass better, and rebound better. We need to try to learn from our mistakes, and try to improve, and prepare for Iowa Falls-Alden and what they do.
We need (this win) because the whole key to success for us is our first five games. Those games will tell us, to me, whether we're going to the postseason or not. The second half we will play good football but it's how we start.
The quarterback is only going to be as good as the people who are surrounding him - linemen, receivers, running backs. Of course, (Palmer) has the physical tools and works hard.
I'm no saint. I'm no angel. I never proclaimed to be.
I'm not allowed to do that anymore, ... Coach Lewis took me out of the guaranteeing business.
Can we send Fred a message? Smoot, let's go. That's it. That's the message for this week.
I'm very pleased where we are. The younger players are farther along than I thought they might be.
He's their veteran leader at corner and he's someone that I've faced on a consistent basis for the past two or three years. He makes me play at the top of my game and now you're telling me he's not playing.
I don't know if I've ever seen a goaltending performance like we saw in the third period, overtime and the shootout from Ian Wilson tonight.
He took it. That could have made the Hall of Fame of all lists. That was a good one.
