Our press looked very good. At times it seemed like we could turn it on when we wanted to and be up by 20.
It felt like we were starting to close on him after the fourth mile. When we turned the corner (off Roosevelt), he looked back. I didn't pass him until there were about 200 meters to go. I felt real strong today. Khalid was out there alone in the wind. Being able to work together (with Eberly) really worked to our advantage.
We turned the ball over way too much. We were just trying to get the ball down low, because they weren't stopping us all night.
Everything had just turned around. He brought a system here that was going to help us succeed.
It shows how much we've come around. You probably couldn't get people to come here six or seven years ago. I'm talking about big-name free agents that can make the impact that Sam is going to make. You know I'm not going off that way. When we do it, we'll do it in a trash-talking manner with everyone else looking in. But to us, we already know it's, 'Here we go again.' Like last year or at the Senior Bowl five years ago. It's going to raise the level of our play.
Some people are old-school and I'd rather not hear the negative things that they have to say about celebrations. Anyone who has anything positive and would like to see anything on Sundays, feel free to contact me.
My plan is Martha Stewart-like. What it's going to be exactly, I can't tell you. You'd have to watch. It's going to be fun, though. It will probably keep you on the edge of your seat.
I was trying to get my feet going fast enough, but I couldn't do it.
