We're playing better. We're making progress. But now we've got to continue to do that, and not always take one step and then two steps back. That's the way it's been most of the season.
We knew it was going to take time to mesh. We're starting to get our swagger back.
We knew that they would come in fighting. We had control of it, but we kind of let up a little bit in the fourth quarter and they brought it back, but we pretty much controlled the game.
We've been together so long and in so many tough situations, we never get rattled. Somebody is always coming up big down the stretch.
We always knew a championship ring means way more than being an all-star, although we wanted to be all-stars. This is just secondary. It's not going to make me feel the same way as I felt when I was on that big stage in the finals when I won a championship. At the same time, it's going to be up there, because it's going to validate what I always felt about myself.
We didn't play that great, but we got it done. Sixty wins, that sounds good.
We are definitely going to have to work it out where all of us are on the floor together. We've got the man that is in control of it, so we should be able to work that out.
We had control, but we missed a couple shots, they made a couple, a couple of calls didn't go our way and they got back in it. They won it with a good shot from Paul Pierce. Tough shot.
We get a little bored sometimes. Anytime something like that happens it fuels our fire.
We've all got to get in there and help Ben. For so long here, we've kind of leaned on Ben and felt he was going to get every one of them. We've all got to make an effort.
We are a team that truly embodies what team is about. We're unselfish. We all got here by doing the right things and playing the right way. I think people are starting to recognize that.
We still have the best record in the league, but we're not playing the best basketball in the league right now. We have to get back to doing the things we were doing earlier in the season.
We're healthy. A couple of our guys sat out, a couple of our young boys got an opportunity to play. They all played well, so we're fine.
Watching him is unbelievable. His team's one of the best teams in the Eastern Conference, he gets the MVP of this game with all these great players. It's unbelievable. The kid is a freak of nature.
