best capitalize command effort game left lost nearly stuff
He didn't have his best stuff tonight. His command wasn't nearly what it has been in the past. He had a four-run cushion, wasn't really able to capitalize on it. But he still left the game with a lead, so it wasn't a lost effort by any means. He battled.
finish pick
He's gong to have to pick it up and finish with a flurry.
cover create mound moved situations tried
He moved around pretty well. It wasn't in a game-like situation, but we tried to create some situations where he had to get off the mound and cover bases, and everything went pretty well.
errors judgment kinds last
It's unfortunate it's Matt. But those kinds of errors in judgment ... we're not last year's team. We're not going to be last year's team.
pitching
For me, where I'm really going with it right now is he's just not pitching well right now.
days discomfort three
He hasn't pitched in three days and there was discomfort in his shoulder. Obviously, something's not right.
added asked belt capable carrying consumed fact guys ignore missing

ceiling
I think we'd like to see his ceiling or find his niche,
earned looking point
I don't need to point him out, they come in looking at him. He has earned their respect.
emphasize falls job player scouts
It's something we have thought about and if it falls into place, it falls into place, ... But I don't want to do it just as a novelty; I want to do it for some meaning. It think it would emphasize the job player development has done for us, and the job the scouts have done.
consistent hitting home jury maybe shown talking work
I think the jury is still out on his bat. We'll work more with him and maybe see if there's a little more there. We're not talking about hitting home runs. We want him to be more consistent with the barrel. He's shown some improvement.
backwards bigger breaking issue might pitching start starting
The bigger issue is the first-pitch fastballs they are squaring up. He might have to start pitching backwards (by starting batters with breaking pitches) and doing some things different off the mound.
delivered downs few hit last matt time ups
Matt has had his ups and downs the last few games. He delivered the big hit for us so this couldn't have come at a better time for him.
butterfly cocoon cut free help man picked reading saw thinking trying understand
I really didn't understand while I was reading it, but it told a story of a man who saw a butterfly trying to come out of a cocoon, and he picked it up and cut the cocoon away from the butterfly, thinking he was going to help free it,
