He needs to find a way to knock some of that rust off. And, hopefully, he did (Thursday).
balls guy hard hit level nice sniff spinning worked
He's hit some balls up here at this level that he didn't sniff in the past. Anything down, hard and away, anything down spinning away, he's really worked hard to make some adjustments, and it's really nice to see a guy that's worked that hard.
everywhere good hit
He has hit everywhere he has ever been, so why shouldn't he hit here . . . . He is just a real good hitter.

Guys that are able to play, we'll get out there and play, and guys that aren't able to play, we'll pray for them and hope they get better.

That's been a redeeming quality, that he has been able to slow things down and been able to get an inning over with before it completely got out of hand. He said he has not been comfortable out of the stretch the last couple of games. I told him I didn't think he was lying. I told him either we have to find a way to make him comfortable or for him to not let any guys get on.
couple decision hard involved league staying
That was the hard decision we had to look at a couple of times. Would it just be better for him to go down, let him play, or keep him here and have him working and staying involved in a big league environment?

Sometimes we are going to slow him down a little bit.
halfway people talked three winter
The thing was, people we had talked to over the winter didn't want to come our way. We were able to get three of them halfway through the season. So it wasn't by design.

They're in a tough position. After the warning, they have to make judgment calls.
