holding impetus people waiting
People are holding their breaths, waiting for an impetus to move,
economic figures last looks markets moving narrow oil percent push reason three waiting
We're in a narrow range, moving around about 1 percent over the last three days, and it looks like the markets are waiting for some economic figures or waiting on oil because there's really no reason to push anything now.
hold next season waiting
We're still in that pattern. Everyone is on hold and waiting for the next (quarterly results) pre-announcement season in September.
act beginning coming earnings economy federal lower markets people reason reserve since stocks thinks waiting
Everyone thinks stocks are okay, the economy is okay, but markets have been lower since the beginning of the year. People are waiting for a reason to make a move. They want to act on an event, like the earnings that are coming out or the upcoming Federal Reserve meeting.
conviction people strange waiting
There's not a lot of conviction out there. It's a strange year-end, you just get a sense that people are content, waiting for the new year.
apart bit falling hear liked market people pleased seen waiting
I'd have liked to have seen us a bit higher, but I'm pleased that the market is at least not falling apart today. I think a lot of people are waiting to hear from Greenspan.
cheap current driver earnings everybody everyday key looking market next people relatively says seems stocks waiting
It's frustrating right now because everybody says that stocks look relatively cheap yet everyday the market bounces around. Everybody is looking for the next hurdle. People are waiting to see what the earnings look like, and that seems to be the key driver in the current market.
advance next
I think we'll see an end-of-month advance next week.
ahead buying classic gotten market ourselves people rule upside
I think we have gotten ourselves into a classic year-end speculative mentality. I really think the market has gotten ahead of itself. People really started buying on hope. I don't rule out some year-end euphoria, but I don't think the market has a lot more upside to it.
prices recovery run
I think (stock) prices have run up anticipating a recovery but I don't think the recovery's here yet,
confidence dealing energy feeling interest people rise worried
I think confidence is higher. There's a sense of 'What are we worried about now?' because we got through the rise in interest rates, the election, we're dealing with the energy prices. I think people are feeling better.
burnt chase investors market people types
People aren't going to chase those types of rallies anymore. Investors have been burnt too often and we're going to have a choppy market going forward,
due followed good looks pattern tough
Our pattern has been a tough month, followed by a good one, and it looks like we're due for a good one.
bit blue chips inclined people
Right now, people are more inclined to own blue chips than speculative stocks. It's a little bit of a valuation play.
