I'm digging balls out of the rough that I wasn't able to and I'm hitting drives powerfully at the end of a round like I couldn't last year. I've been remarkably calm.

I did everything good except for five or six iron shots, really.

All you've got to do is relax and play, and sometimes that's hard to do. You know, we say, well, if you just get out of your own way at the majors, you could win a lot more, and sometimes it's easier said than done. Sometimes it's different pressure with different people.

If you were in the fairway, the course played OK. And if you weren't, it played tough.

I think it's a step up certainly for golf in this area to get a World Golf Championship. You know, guys will move out of the top and new guys will take their place. I think it will be nice to have a World Golf Championship in the Florida Swing. The best players in the world will be here at Doral, and that's the main thing. It will give guys an incentive to make it here.

The kids had macaroni and chicken fingers, and that was looking pretty good. We didn't get any.

I want to play my way out of having them pick me to be Ryder Cup captain. I want to be in the top five and they don't even consider me.

Hockey said, 'We've got to come up with a way that this will work.' Every sport's done it. NASCAR did it, ... How are we going to grow to the next level? How do we get TV excited about this? That's what we're doing.

I didn't hit enough good iron shots when I had to, and Geoff did. And when he didn't he hit a great pitch or bunker shot, or great putt to stay right in it.
conclusion drastic exciting hard meant nascar points staying
It's hard to keep them interested. You look at NASCAR. I'm a NASCAR fan, so to me (a points system) was a drastic, drastic change. I didn't like it. I didn't want them to change. But sometimes staying the same is not good. I like what they're doing. It's meant to have an exciting conclusion to the season. It's not just going to be one event. It's going to be a series.
