I did everything good except for five or six iron shots, really.

I didn't hit enough good iron shots when I had to, and Geoff did. And when he didn't he hit a great pitch or bunker shot, or great putt to stay right in it.

He kept the pressure on me. He didn't give me any holes to give me any confidence and make it easy for me. I had to work for it. And since he made me work for it, I didn't get as many good shots.

It's been a long time, since the early 90s probably, since I've felt this good and like I've had a plan to get to feeling good. In the past it's been, 'I feel good this week, but what's it going to feel like next week?' Now, I think I'll feel good as long as I stick with this game plan.

I wouldn't encourage him to pick himself, but I would love for him to make it. Certainly he's got major-championship-type game. We've seen him there a bunch in majors. If he gets on a roll and gets a bunch of points and has a couple good majors, we want him on the team.

I always felt like I took the pressure off of him when he hit a bad shot or when he hit a good shot. And I just didn't hit enough good iron shots.

He had a couple good holes, then I had a couple good holes, then he gave me a couple holes. It was typical match play.

He's a very, very good player. When he wants to hit it long, he just bombs it out there. He's got great hands and putts very well. I don't think he missed a whole lot of putts he had to make, maybe one.

I was driving it good and I was trying to do things with it to try to keep it in the fairway, and I think that was the difference. I just didn't shape the ball real well off the tee like I wanted to.

These courses suit a guy whose short game is very good and who is very patient with the greens and the putting. Anybody with a good attitude who hits the ball in the fairway enough, and makes some putts, can win.

I enjoyed playing with them. Out here, it was a little more like a circus. It's like playing with Elvis being out here with Daly.
balls digging drives hitting last remarkably rough round
I'm digging balls out of the rough that I wasn't able to and I'm hitting drives powerfully at the end of a round like I couldn't last year. I've been remarkably calm.
easier hard pressure relax win
All you've got to do is relax and play, and sometimes that's hard to do. You know, we say, well, if you just get out of your own way at the majors, you could win a lot more, and sometimes it's easier said than done. Sometimes it's different pressure with different people.
