guys help high hurt penalties successful understand yesterday
Penalties hurt us and I think our guys understand it, ... but they're high strung, and they should be high strung. I don't think you can be successful without being high strung. I think yesterday it didn't help us being high strung.
anyone burden carry grow guys helping looked older realistic rest role sure talented team
I think Marcus Vick has had to carry a burden that the rest of the guys don't have to carry, which is a famous, very talented older brother. We haven't looked at him as closely, but I think that he'll probably grow up. I'm sure some team will be realistic in what role Marcus or anyone else can have when it comes to helping them.
atmosphere call everybody help helped offense plays prefer role
I think I've got to help everybody have a better atmosphere to do their job. I don't call the plays on offense and defense. I have over the years, but prefer the role of being able to help those guys. I don't feel like I've helped them as much as I could have.
believes games great guy hard helped himself josh worked
Josh has worked hard to get better. He really believes in himself as a player. I think he's been working with another guy who's had some great games in Kurt. I think they've helped each other.
equal football great happen happens helps hope matter million money proven share spend spending super teams television win yankees
But that's what's great about this league. Teams like us have hope every year. Football is different from baseball. We share television revenues. That helps equal things out. Plus, it's never been proven that the more money you spend will help you win a Super Bowl. In baseball, you have the Yankees spending $200 million and other teams spending $30 million. That won't happen in football, no matter what happens with the CBA. That's why we're different. That's why teams like us have a chance.
brooks came florida guy helped leader level state team win
You go down to Florida State and he is kind of the No. 1 guy on a team with a lot of big-time players. They fashioned him to be on the level of a Derrick Brooks when he came out of there and (he) was a big-time leader and helped them win a lot of games.
chance claimed guys help hopefully looking recognize relate success talented understand
No. 1, we claimed him because we think he's a very talented player. He's got size, speed, quickness. No. 2, we feel we can have success with guys who are looking for another chance to do well. I think we can relate to that and understand that, and hopefully help him recognize what his abilities are.
believe best decision deserves fast guy hard help rules team
I never have any hard and fast rules like that. What I believe in is that the team deserves for me to make the decision on who the best guy is to help us win.
cowboys dallas easier games given home natural sell
I think we'd probably be the natural team. It would be us or the Dallas Cowboys , and I don't think there's any way Dallas would have given up a home game. They sell out their games and we do not sell out our games. It was easier for us to make that sacrifice, and we made it.
cap coming creates premium puts salary
I think what it's coming to is when you have a salary cap that creates parity, it puts a premium on coaching.
bad good
You always have to try to understand: Is it a good person who just made a bad decision. In most cases, that's what it is, a good person who made a bad decision. Then you try to ascertain what that means.
easier individual players time
You always have to take each individual situation. (For) some players it's a lot easier to be here all the time and some players it isn't.
guys injuries spots trying unique
We have a lot of injuries and we have a lot of spots open. I think we're in a very unique situation. We got a lot of guys who are trying to make our ballclub.
consistency few game line opener personnel running until weeks york
Our running game isn't where we want it, but we haven't had the kind of consistency in personnel on the (offensive) line that we'd like to have. We have a few weeks until New York (season opener Sept. 11 at the Giants), and everything from now until then, we'll have that in mind.
