case seeing
I'm seeing growth. He's making a case for himself.
everybody exploited mixed pick whether
Unforgivable. That was the most disappointing thing of all. I thought everybody was a culprit, whether it was the pick and rolls... We mixed up our coverage, and they exploited all of it.
close control face good guys papers prove star sure talking trading whoever york
Whoever it is in the papers talking about trading for our guy, it's as close to tampering as you can get. But you can't prove anything. I'm sure New York can't control it just like we can't control what you guys may talk about. It's not good when you talk about trading our star player, the face of our franchise.
almost guys kevin pulled team wanting
When Kevin went out, the team pulled together. Our young guys did well. It was almost like the youngsters wanting to do well for their big brother.
closest guy third
We need his offense. For us, he's the closest thing to that third scorer we need. He's the quickest guy we have.
effort focus minutes regroup roll
We just couldn't regroup and then they got on a roll. The more we tried, the more they got on a roll and got going, so there's no answer. If you don't come out with a focus and effort for 48 minutes in this league, you're in trouble.
envelope fast force guys increase instead jogging push running
We wanted to increase the tempo, push the envelope and play as fast as we could. If you are going to be a running team, you have to do it every night. You have to force it. Sometimes the guys think they are running, and they are jogging instead of sprinting.
guys stepping
We have to have more distribution from other guys stepping up.
coming confidence excellent execute game rhythm start
Tonight, we had an excellent start to the game. But you have to play the game the right way. You have to execute for 48 minutes, because if you don't, you don't have the confidence and the rhythm coming down the stretch.
ahead approach beginning coming far habits letting man matured nba talking work
Well, he's coming along. He's letting his play do his talking now. He's just matured as a young man and matured to the NBA game. His approach and his work habits are far, far ahead of where he was at the beginning of the year.
couple mark onto steps switch
We wanted Mark Blount to switch onto James. But we didn't want him to get up into him. Mark got a couple steps too close.
playing
We always want to have hope. Mathematically, we're still alive, so we're still playing for something.
along coaching create environment playing trying win
We're coaching to win first. Development will come along with that. I'm trying to create an environment of professionalism, working hard, playing hard.
growing minutes next run team together
We have to put together 48 minutes and that has been our story the whole year. That is a growing process. That is the next evolution. When a team makes a run at us we have to go right back at them.
