I think what we're finding across the church is that people are tired of just writing the check for the mission. They really want to do it. We made a commitment to the city to put up 50 roofs over the next couple of months. We hope to perhaps complete 25 this week with the crews that we have.
There are also a couple others that are still hanging out there, where decisions haven't been weighed on,
What you see is what you're going to get all the time. Running on the field, throwing the football, joking around, going to the movies. I don't know if he's ever really serious, other than blowing the whistle a couple of times during the season when the tempo isn't right at practice.
We have taken a couple of tough losses. We started the season 3-0, but we have been grounded a little bit. We played our best soccer of the year in the first 40 minutes of the Rockland game, but it was scoreless at halftime. If you think about what's really driven the drive in equity markets over the last couple of years, it's been those low interest rates. What's brought all the money in has been that we took short-term interest rates back from over 6 percent (several years ago) to 3 percent.
We are such docile creatures, normally, that it takes a virus to jolt us out of life's routine. A couple of days in a fever bed are, in a sense, health-giving; the change in body temperature, the change in pulse , and the change of scene have a restorative effect on the system equal to the hell they raise.
They came out and fought real hard for a couple of quarters, ... Here at 'SC, we teach 'finish.' It's not about how the first and second quarter ends or the third, it's about how you finish in the fourth quarter.
I thought they won a lot of individual battles in the first half. They set the tone and tempo. The second half we did a better job of stepping up in some of the individual battles.

I think what it can do for you is center you on the values your team has and make sure you appreciate and honor those values - and consistently honor them,
I think that everyone is capable of being a leader when given a chance.
