bases believe capable great guy hide hitting home judged left question reach runs since speed steal talent
This guy is only being judged by the home runs now. Right now, he's only capable of hitting home runs. He doesn't steal the bases anymore. He's not the (superb) left fielder anymore. He doesn't have the speed anymore. I believe that when we reach back, we are going to hide all that talent that started when he was a kid. Because there's no question about it, this guy's been great since he was a kid.
anybody believed guess hear maybe people saw
I thought about it when I saw that. Maybe other people will be called. I guess anybody who they believed to know something, they want to hear (those) people talk.
amazing believe complain fly game ground hard hurt loafing played run running saw tough
I never saw him loafing to first. He used to run hard every ground ball, every fly ball, ... It was amazing the way he played the game. Because sometimes you just don't feel like running hard when you think it's going to be an out. If you see him before the game, you didn't believe he was so tough a player. He used to play hurt every day. Used to complain he didn't sleep. But when the game started, he was just marvelous.
actions appreciate believe closing understand upgrade whatever
It was a big crowd, but I don't believe it was a big threat. There were some abusive actions and words, but I understand they were going to upgrade whatever they did (by closing the left-field area). We were told about that . . . and we appreciate it.
added believe bring certainly game good hope umpire woman women
I certainly hope she makes it to the big leagues, ... There are so many women now -- writers, and what about TV? I think there should be a woman or two. They know the game. Why not? I believe a woman umpire would bring some good ingredients to the game and added interest.
affect affected barry bat believe guy main veteran
I don't believe it will affect this veteran team. The main guy is Barry and if he does his thing with the bat and is not affected by it, I don't think we'll be.

excited gives great guys teammates watching
It's a big difference. It gives me a lot of confidence. The guys feel great about having him back. The new guys are excited about being his teammates and watching him hit.
innings seen since worst
I've got to say that was one of the worst innings I've ever seen since I put on a uniform.
bonds closer playing talking team
Closer to our ?A' team will be playing tomorrow. You're talking about Bonds and (Steve) Finley and (Mark) Sweeney.
david moves
Howard is impressive. He moves well around the bag. He's a David Ortiz-type man.
happens occasion pitcher rare
It happens -- but it's a rare occasion for a pitcher of that stature.
glad pitching shot
I'm glad for Tyler. He's in the big leagues. He's getting a shot at pitching more innings.
cold hope took
He's fine. I took him out in hope that he'll be OK tomorrow. It was cold out here.
