coach deal fantastic head leaving love people plans talk trying
I want to be a head coach again. But the big deal is I love being here with Joe. I think it's a fantastic thing. People keep on trying to talk about me leaving here, and I have no plans on doing that. I love what I'm doing.
bills coach game mind quit sideline thinking three tradition until
I try to keep that game out of my mind as much as possible, but as you can imagine, it's a big part of the tradition here. It wasn't until I had been on the sideline as the Bills coach two or three times that I quit thinking about it.
coming couple people playing weeks
And our people were way ahead. A couple weeks before the announcement coming out (that he would start), we assessed and thought he was playing pretty good.
divide gotten guys help last normally plays series short three time valuable week
The last three series of that ballgame, we were able to get some valuable time for some of the guys that haven't gotten a lot of reps. We were able to divide up the reps. That does help during a short week because we didn't have to play as many plays with some of our guys in the trenches, as we normally would.
ball danny deeper defensive guys injuries job last ready remarkable side time week
I thought Danny did a remarkable job last year, ... with so many injuries on the defensive side of the ball and how they impacted him. He did an unbelievable job of just getting guys ready to go week in and week out, and we're deeper now than we were at this time last year.
almost good job played snaps
We played 80-some, almost 90 snaps on defense, ... 12 for 31, 51 quarterback rating. We did a pretty good job there.
allow cannot finish good hard plays running runs
If you could have those two runs back. But you can't. Normally, we take those plays away. We cannot allow those long runs on defense. We've got to finish those tackles. We did so many things well that we thought we had to do to take away a very good running game. Those plays are going to be hard to stomach.
chase head
It's not about the chase of being a head coach. ... I really like what I'm doing, and I really like where I'm at, and I really, really like who it's with.
field improvement left nice plays room single
It's nice to see the way we're playing, but we have a lot of room for improvement where we think we've left plays on the field in every single ballgame.
anywhere bootleg hands
It's 'boot-o-rama,' ... They've got every bootleg now that anybody, anywhere has ever run. So we've got our hands full.
cut defensive guys hot last lay played remember run rush stop tub wrist
Remember last year? 'Gregg, you can't stop the run with that defensive line.' 'Gregg, these guys can't rush the passer.' I don't know why I didn't cut my wrist and lay in a hot tub of water. Every one of them played with an attitude.
behind front hit people plays pushes reason run
Renaldo really pushes people around up front and he plays tremendously hard. He does a lot of things behind the scenes. There's a reason why our linebackers make a lot of plays. There's a reason why our linebackers run and hit as much as they do. Renaldo understands.
behind coach driving happened home nfl saw thousand
It happened right behind my back. I was driving home when someone called me and told me what happened. Then I saw the replays a thousand times. I told myself if I were ever an NFL coach I would never, ever let something like that happen.
again behind captain coaching defensive good job lord week winning
I am superstitious, and he's been our defensive captain each and every week on our winning streak. He'll go with us (to Seattle), Lord willing, and he'll be our defensive captain again this week, and he'll do a good job of coaching behind the scenes.
