backs defensive fitting good guys high job large picked playing solid style
We've got some pretty good defensive backs here, and that's a large part of why we are playing pretty solid on defense, when you've got guys on the back end that were picked high and justifiably so. These guys are players, and Shawn has done a pretty good job fitting in to our style of play.
coverage good job last offense stop sure task
The quickest way to stop an offense is to get to the quarterback. You can play better in coverage when you can make sure the quarterback is unsettled. We didn't do as good a job in it last time. So that's the task at hand.
game job parts putting rush situations sure
A lot of the parts of his game have improved. As coaches, we've done a better job of making sure that we're putting him in some situations where he can rush the passer.
backs ball bring easy good guy job patience rare speed tackling
He's one of those rare backs that has the patience, speed and power-the whole package-put together. We're going to have to do a good job of tackling and swarming the ball carrier because he's not a guy that's easy to bring down in one-on-one situations.
ball danny deeper defensive guys injuries job last ready remarkable side time week
I thought Danny did a remarkable job last year, ... with so many injuries on the defensive side of the ball and how they impacted him. He did an unbelievable job of just getting guys ready to go week in and week out, and we're deeper now than we were at this time last year.
almost good job played snaps
We played 80-some, almost 90 snaps on defense, ... 12 for 31, 51 quarterback rating. We did a pretty good job there.
again behind captain coaching defensive good job lord week winning
I am superstitious, and he's been our defensive captain each and every week on our winning streak. He'll go with us (to Seattle), Lord willing, and he'll be our defensive captain again this week, and he'll do a good job of coaching behind the scenes.
kyle playing
Kyle Orton was playing better than any of the quarterbacks,
locker people room takes trying whatever
other than that, everyone is cool. People take it for what it's worth. We're having fun, we're trying to win. Whatever it takes to win. The people in the locker room get excited.
attack few last point runs time
Physically, we're stouter at the point of attack then we were at any time last year. We've just had a few runs that popped.
defensive maybe occupying pass people presence solid
Just occupying more than one person. He's the kind of person that can take on two people and still win. He has a presence in his pass rush. Sometimes, maybe your defensive tackles aren't maybe some of the solid pass rushers in the league. But we think he's one of the better pass-rushing defensive tackles around.
brings huge physical presence
Just the physical presence he brings makes a huge difference.
confidence effort guys joe knows maximum strong tremendous trust
Joe is a very strong point-of-attack person. More importantly, there is a tremendous confidence in the guys who play around him when he is in the game. Everyone knows you can trust him with maximum effort on every snap.
care front happens joe meeting nice physical playing single talks team wants win
Joe Gibbs wants his team to be physical. Every single meeting that Joe has in front of this team he talks about how we're going to win these physical battles: 'I don't care what else happens in this ballgame, we're going to be physical.' And it's nice to see us playing that way, especially at the end of the season.
